Green Star Media has today been unveiled as a double finalist for the prestigious 2013 Football Business Awards.
Under the category for Partnership of the Year, the Guildford-based company’s Elite Soccer Magazine, produced in conjunction with the League Managers Association is a strong contender for the title.
Meanwhile, in a double whammy, Green Star Media has also been named as a finalist in the category of Best Business Serving Football.
The media company publishes football coaching magazines and books, helping football coaches at all levels deliver better training sessions. Training programmes from Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and other top managers are exclusively published in Elite Soccer, which is exported to 60 countries worldwide.
The awards ceremony, currently in its second year and held at Chelsea Football Club on November 7th, is the leading awards ceremony celebrating the business of football.
Andrew Griffiths, Managing Director at Green Star Media said, “To be nominated as a finalist in both categories is testament to the hard work our staff and partners put into our magazines. We’ve got a great team and we’re looking forward to getting a result on the awards night!”
Director of the Awards, Simon Burton comments, “Business and football are inextricably linked and on pitch performance needs to be matched by commercial achievement and acumen. Football clubs are economic drivers for their communities and football itself is one of the UK’s greatest exports. The quality and diversity of the FBA entries never fails to inspire”.
