Andrew founded the company in 1995 after a career in print journalism including five years as business correspondent of The Daily Telegraph. He has been responsible for the creation and launch of eleven specialist magazines and newsletters, including the award-winning AIM Newsletter, which was sold for a significant sum in 2006. Andrew leads the development of Green Star Media’s digital publishing and marketing strategy, and provides editorial direction. Since 1997 he has been a non-executive director of several venture capital trusts and is currently a non-executive director of Downing Strategic Micro-Cap Investment Trust.
Head of Finance
Fiona trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG London and then spent 20 years in the Telecoms and Events sector. She was the Finance Director of a global events group that had offices in the UK and USA for 6 years. During that time, she was involved in a number of US acquisitions. Fiona has had considerable experience of business planning, change management, Board reporting and cashflow management.
Head of Marketing
Georgina manages the Green Star Media marketing team; creating marketing strategies to attract, engage and convert audiences, and continually looking to improve customer experience. A results-focused subscription marketer, Georgina has worked with leading consumer and business media brands including New Scientist, Flightglobal and Farmers Weekly. Outside of the office, you will find her practising martial arts, running (slowly) and cycling in the Surrey Hills.
Robert Wilson represents Chrysalis VCT on the Green Star Media board and has significant experience of serving on boards of growing venture capital backed companies. Before joining Chrysalis he was with County Bank, Friends Ivory & Sime (now ISIS), 3i plc and Classic Fund Managers.
Kevin was previously marketing manager at Consensus Economics Inc., where he worked on his first magazine acquisition, successfully relaunching an Australian commodities title. He joined Green Star Media in 2008. He has overseen the purchase and integration of the website footy4kids.co.uk and in 2010 launched Elite Soccer in partnership with the League Managers Association. Kevin is responsible for marketing and editorial projects.
